Sheikh Bahauddin Adil Efendi Recites the Holy Qur’an – March 3 2023

The session opened with the familiar “Bismillāhi r‑Raḥmāni r‑Raḥīm”, reminding us to begin every act in the name of the Compassionate One. From there, Sheikh Bahauddin moved through passages that speak of God’s all‑encompassing care: He who creates and sustains each soul, then returns us to the earth from which we originated. The verses gently call our attention to the fleeting nature of worldly blessings and the certainty of divine return.

In a series of admonitions, the Qur’an warns against placing trust in material wealth or false hopes. Sheikh Bahauddin’s measured tone underscores that such reliance can vanish like a passing cloud, leaving only gratitude for the modest gifts we truly possess. The recitation then affirms that ultimate knowledge belongs to Allah alone and that His guidance is clear for those who turn their hearts toward Him.
