On the evening of 21 June 2022, members of our community came together for the Asr prayer beneath the soft glow of the setting sun in Grenoble, France. The modest venue filled quickly with familiar faces and new friends, creating a warm atmosphere that echoed the timeless spirit of Ottoman‑Sufi tradition. In this gathering we felt both the intimacy of a close‑knit circle and the expansive love that unites all seekers.
During the short talk following prayer, the words “Maulana dünya maşralı bir parada” were shared—a poetic image of the world bathed in the first light of sunrise. This reminder of divine illumination invites us to see every moment as a fresh beginning, a chance to align our hearts with the Light that pervades creation.
A gentle humor followed: “Bu benim suçum, bana telefon veriyor. Ama o yerde bir takım yoktu.” The simple confession about a missing team and an unexpected phone sparked smiles, showing how everyday slips become shared blessings when embraced with humility. The presence of Amar Efendi was especially cherished, his gracious demeanor captured in the heartfelt remark, “Amar Efendi, çok güzeldi,” reminding us that every teacher carries a unique beauty that enriches our collective remembrance.
The gathering concluded with the soothing invocation, “Maşallah Allah’a emanet olun,” urging all present to place their trust fully in the Divine. We left the venue uplifted, grateful for the fellowship experienced and for the subtle ways each meeting draws us nearer to deeper spiritual awareness.
