During his 2017 tour of Germany, Mawla na Sheikh Muhammed Adil Al‑Rabbani gathered believers and seekers alike to share a timeless reminder from the Qur’an: “Indeed, the hearts find peace through the remembrance of Allah.” In a brief but moving segment, he opened with the blessed phrase Bismillāhir‑Rahmānir‑Raḥīm, then recited the verse that many Sufi hearts hold close:
“Those who have believed and whose hearts find tranquility in the remembrance of Allah—unquestionably, it is the remembrance of Allah that brings peace to the hearts.”
The Sheikh’s gentle tone invited listeners to pause, breathe, and let the divine name settle within. He emphasized that true serenity does not come from external circumstances but from turning inward to dhikr, the conscious recalling of God’s presence. In the spirit of Sufi tradition, this practice is a continual purification, calming the restless self and aligning one’s intention with the divine will.
For members of the Royal Ottoman Society and anyone drawn to the Ottoman‑Sufi heritage, Sheikh Adil’s words serve as an invitation to integrate regular remembrance into daily life—whether through silent contemplation, vocal dhikr, or reading the Qur’an. The simple act of invoking Allah’s name can transform anxiety into trust, mirroring the historical devotion that has sustained our community for centuries.

May the hearts of all who hear these words find lasting peace.
