On 12 March 2016 Ayberk Efendi gathered seekers for a special sohbet entitled “Taste of Sincerity.” In this gathering Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi shared the timeless Sufi insight that true devotion is measured not by outward form but by the purity of intention (ikhlâs). The talk reminded us that every act—whether prayer, work, or simple service to family—can become a fragrant offering when it arises solely from love for the Divine.
The atmosphere was one of gentle reflection. Participants were invited to pause, examine their motives, and allow the heart’s intention to be cleansed of egoic desire. By savoring sincerity in everyday deeds, the gathering highlighted how the inner “taste” of our actions can deepen the seeker’s connection with God and strengthen the bonds within our community.
