On 15 October 2013 Ayberk Efendi released his third album, The Way to the Prophet III. The collection continues his long‑standing tradition of offering Sufi music that speaks directly to the heart of seekers from every background.
The CD opens with a haunting chant that repeats the line “the nobles possess the crowns they possess – but to understand Him you have to wear His dress.” In this poetic refrain, Ayberk Efendi reminds us that true proximity to the Divine requires the shedding of ego and the embracing of humility—an invitation to become an “Akshi,” or spiritual disciple, by undressing from worldly attachments. The rhythmic repetition creates a meditative space where listeners can contemplate surrender while being carried by melodic strings and gentle percussion.
