A special gathering took place in our Ludwigshafen Sufi Centre, where we welcomed the honoured son of Sheikh Nazım Efendi, Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi, alongside Ayberk Efendi. The occasion marked an inauguration that blended spiritual heritage with a living expression of the martial tradition rooted in Hazrat Ali.
During the ceremony a group of young Ottoman practitioners performed the Naqsh‑e‑Wurdu demonstration—a dynamic art that traces its lineage to the masterful combat teachings of Hazrat Ali, regarded as the source of all subsequent martial disciplines. The rhythmic chants and precise movements offered attendees a vivid reminder that physical discipline can be a path to inner refinement, echoing the Sufi ideal of harmonising body, heart, and soul.
