In this heartfelt teaching we are reminded of an uplifting message delivered by Sheikh Nazım Kıbrısî Hazretleri during his 1995 sermon at the Mevlana Mosque in Berlin. Drawing on Ottoman history, he linked past triumphs with a future promise: just as Sultan Selim I seized the caliphate from the Abbasids, rescued the sacred relics and brought them safely to Istanbul, a “last Selim” will again arise to restore justice and return the holy emblems to their rightful place.

He encouraged us to anchor ourselves in Allah, the Prophet ﷺ, the Qur’an, and the saints, assuring that sincere striving will lead us toward the Mahdi (alayhis‑salam) and the final Ottoman Sultan Selim (the fourth of his name). This future leader, he affirmed, will wield the Prophet’s banner and sword, bringing divine justice to the world.
