On 23 June 2022 the Royal Ottoman Society welcomed Mawlāna in the historic city of Fribourg, a beautiful stop on the “Mawlāna on Tour” that traverses France, Switzerland and Germany. The gathering gathered seekers from across the region beneath the gentle Alpine light, offering a precious moment to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the living Sufi tradition.
In this sohbet the participants engaged in collective dhikr, reciting the holy names and sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him). The rhythmic chant of “La ilaha illa‑Allah” resonated through the venue, creating an atmosphere of shared devotion that blended Ottoman spiritual heritage with the tranquil Swiss surroundings. Attendees expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to experience such unity, noting how the gathering deepened their sense of belonging within a global lineage.
