On the evening of 12 March 2016, the Royal Ottoman Society gathered at Ludwigshafen’s historic Pfalzbau theater for the eighth installment of its “Ottoman Sufi Night” series. Guided by Sheikh Bahauddin Adil, participants entered a circle of remembrance where the repeated chant “Subhan Allah”—praise of God’s perfection—and “Nabi Muhammad, alayhi salam.” resonated through the hall. The rhythmic dhikr aligned breath and heart, creating a shared space in which each soul could feel the Divine presence beyond ordinary thought. Hands rose, eyes softened, and the collective voice became a living tapestry of devotion that deepened humility and opened pathways to inner peace.
