On the evening of 29 January 2016 the Royal Ottoman Society gathered in Mannheim, Germany for a special Sufi Night led by Ayberk Efendi. Members and friends came together under one roof to share in dhikr, poetry, and heartfelt sohbet that echo the timeless teachings of the Ottoman‑Sufi heritage.
The ambience was one of quiet reverence mixed with joyful celebration. As lights dimmed, the subtle sound of the ney filled the hall, inviting participants to turn inward. Ayberk Efendi guided the gathering through a series of invocations, reminding everyone that the path of love and service begins with sincere remembrance of the Divine. Simple verses from classical Ottoman poets were recited, their meanings unfolding in the modern context of our lives in Europe.
