In a heartfelt sohbet recorded in Ludwigshafen, Germany, Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi welcomed listeners with “As‑salaamu alaikum” and shared the excitement surrounding an invitation from our brothers in France for a special Sufi night in Paris. He recounted how Ayberk Efendi proposed a practical solution: travel together from Frankfurt to Paris—a seven‑hour journey that would allow the community to arrive united, share meals, conversation, and spiritual presence before the gathering. Celaleddin Efendi added his blessing, noting that the return trip would also take seven hours, underscoring the harmony of the plan.
Sheikh Bahauddin emphasized the importance of embodying true Islam and authentic tasawwuf by accepting such invitations, even when circumstances feel uncertain. He reminded us of the timeless example set by Şeyh Efendi Hazretleri, who always visited his murids, accepted their hospitality, and cherished the bonds formed through shared meals and prayer. This spirit of openness, he noted, should inspire our Turkish brothers to continue traveling across Europe—visiting the many ikhan in Germany and beyond—to nurture these connections and uphold the living tradition of Sufi fellowship.
For those who feel called to deepen their participation in such gatherings or wish to join future live meetings, we invite you to explore the Society’s Live meetings page. May our collective journeys continue to be guided by love, humility, and the timeless wisdom of the Sufi path.
