In this brief but luminous sohbet, Sheikh Bahauddin reminds us that physical proximity is not a prerequisite for receiving spiritual guidance. The Master explains that the light (Nur) of Muhammad ﷺ permeates every heart, allowing those who have learned to attune themselves to it to feel the presence of the Sheikh wherever they are. He recounts an anecdote from a gathering with Mawlana Shaykh, when a companion showed a book depicting the farthest reaches visible to modern telescopes—places that would require millions of years at light speed to reach. Yet Sheikh Bahauddin emphasizes that the Awliya need not wait for such cosmic journeys; by invoking “Bismillāh al‑Raḥmān al‑Raḥīm” they can instantly traverse the vastness of creation, witnessing its wonders without the constraints of time or temperature.
This teaching deepens our conviction that the divine light bridges any distance between the seeker and the guide. When we open our hearts to Nur Muhammad ﷺ, we draw nearer not only to Sheikh Bahauddin but also to the Prophet ﷺ and ultimately to Allah Himself. The experience of such spiritual proximity strengthens faith and invites us to embody the same readiness to serve and love that the Awliya demonstrate.
