On the evening of 22 August, members of the Royal Ottoman Society gathered in Amersfoort for a heartfelt dhikr session. The circle resonated with the timeless proclamation “La ilaha illa Allah” and the blessed salutations upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Repeating divine names such as Al‑Hayy al‑Qayyum (the Ever‑Living Sustainer), Al‑Ghafur (the Forgiving), and Al‑Wadud (the Loving), we entered a shared state of remembrance that quieted the mind and opened the heart to Allah’s presence.
The rhythmic flow of the chant rose and fell like gentle waves, creating an inner space where each breath became a vessel for divine light. In this simple yet profound practice, the collective voice turned ordinary moments into opportunities for spiritual elevation, strengthening both our individual connection with the Divine and the bond among seekers.
If you feel drawn to deepen your remembrance practice, we invite you to explore our regular dhikr gatherings and other live meetings — details are available on the Live meetings page.
