On the evening of June 19 2010, Ayberk Efendi gathered a small circle of seekers at Harmonie der Herzen e.V., Dammstraße 18 in Ludwigshafen. In the simple yet reverent atmosphere, participants entered into a continuous dhikr, rhythmically repeating “صلى الله سيدنا محمد” (peace and blessings upon our Master Muhammad) followed by “الله أمان” (God is safety). The cadence of Ayberk Efendi’s voice gently guided everyone to synchronize their breathing with the sacred names, allowing each utterance to become a breath of divine remembrance that filled the room.
The repeated invocation serves as a spiritual mirror, reflecting the heart back toward humility and mercy. In Sufi practice, such collective remembrance is not merely vocal—it is an inner alignment that steadies the mind, opens the heart, and reminds us that true security rests in continual connection with the Prophet (peace be upon him) and trust in Allah’s protection. The harmonious chorus created a palpable vibration of love, inviting each participant to experience a momentary glimpse of the timeless Ottoman Sufi tradition where personal contemplation meets communal devotion.
