In this brief reflection we are reminded that fitnah – the spiritual trial that assails believers especially in the latter days – is ever‑present, like an insidious insect that draws blood. The words echo a warning: those who claim great insight yet fail to grasp its true meaning create division and pride, leading others astray. Their egos may appear strong while their inner resolve remains weak; they masquerade as faithful but lack genuine values, even wishing harm upon the sincere.
The prayerful appeal follows this stark observation: “May Allah save us from such deception and strengthen our own souls.” By turning to divine assistance, we ask for protection against the corrosive influence of false leaders and for the fortification of our hearts so that we remain steadfast on the straight path.
