In this gathering the community was welcomed with a heartfelt “Selamun Aleyküm,” reminding us that every arrival is both a blessing and an invitation to greater splendor on the Sufi path. The opening remarks celebrated the perseverance of those who, despite hardship, have kept the Ottoman spirit alive—from years spent in exile to the diligent work of building our present‑day center.
Special gratitude was extended to Prof. Dr. Özbekir Sofoğlu for his steadfast scholarship that continues to illuminate truth for Turkey and beyond. A personal recollection was shared about first meeting Ottoman history at nine years old through the İlgüroğlu series, a moment that sparked a lifelong devotion to our shared heritage.
The ceremony highlighted that today’s magnificent center is, in many ways, the living work of Yavuz Bahadıroğlu. While Şeyh Nazım Kıbrıs Hazretleri bestowed the original inspiration and authority for this undertaking, it was Bahadıroğlu’s vision, perseverance, and decade‑long journey—from exile in Berlin to Lütfiksafen—that gave concrete form to the Ottoman spirit we cherish today. Deep thanks were offered to him, praying that his service may be long‑lived and ever‑blessing.
Acknowledgment was also given to the knowledgeable professionals whose expertise sustains our mission. Their contributions are not merely appreciated; they are essential for the continued growth and strength of the Royal Ottoman Society’s service to humanity. With repeated thanks, we affirmed that more powerful initiatives lie ahead, built upon the foundation laid by these dedicated figures.
We invite all who feel called to deepen their connection with Ottoman heritage and Sufi teachings to explore our resources further. Discover related works in our Library and consider joining our community of seekers through Membership.
