Reconcile While You Still Can
Allah calls every servant to mend broken ties with those we have hurt—whether they sit beside us or are far away. Carrying grudges, pride or resentment blocks the heart’s entry into the Divine Presence. By offering honest apologies, seeking forgiveness from those we have wronged and restoring trust, we clear the inner obstacles that keep us distant from Allah’s mercy. The teaching emphasizes that this work can be done between the five daily prayers; each interval is an invitation to “helallik” – purification of our relationships.
Lay Down the Claim of Kul Hakkı
A striking admonition heard in the talk is: “Bana kul hakkıyla gelme.” When we stand before Allah five times a day, it is easy to imagine that our deeds automatically earn us a right‑ful claim. The true posture is one of humility: come with an open heart, ask for forgiveness and guidance, and refrain from demanding the servant’s rights. In doing so, prayer becomes a genuine meeting with the Divine rather than a transaction.
The Urgency of Daily Repentance
Waiting until the final moment to seek reconciliation is like hoping for a miracle that may never come. Between each salah there is ample opportunity to reflect, to ask Allah for purity, and to renew our intention. When we make this effort consistently, the day arrives not with fear but with peace, knowing that we have already walked the path of humility and compassion.
May our hearts soften, our deeds be refined, and our souls be ready for the ultimate encounter with the Divine.
