The Royal Ottoman Society recently gathered in Ludwigshafen for a vibrant celebration of Ottoman heritage. The evening brought together the resonant sounds of Seyh Nazım’s Mehter Takımı and the unveiling of a new work titled “Kızıl Elmaya At Süren Aslanlar.”

Following the musical tribute, the society introduced the freshly released book. “Kızıl Elmaya At Süren Aslanlar” explores the symbolism of the red apple (Kızıl Elmâ) in Ottoman mysticism, weaving together historical anecdotes, Sufi poetry, and contemporary reflections on courage and purpose. The title itself—“The Lions Who Ride to the Red Apple”—evokes the timeless quest for higher truth that lies at the heart of our tradition.
