On 11 August 2018 Sheikh Bahauddin Adil Efendi addressed a gathering with a succinct yet profound affirmation: “Doğrunun yanındayız.” In English, this means “We are on the side of truth.” Though brief, the statement carries the weight of centuries‑old Sufi insight that aligns every seeker’s path with the immutable reality of divine honesty.
In the Ottoman spiritual tradition, standing with the truthful is more than a moral stance; it is an active commitment to embodying the light of God in thought, word, and deed. The Sheikh reminded us that true devotion requires constant vigilance against self‑deception and worldly distraction. By consciously aligning ourselves with truth, we open our hearts to the presence of the Divine, allowing His guidance to permeate every aspect of daily life.
