In this sohbet Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi reminds us that true rulership belongs solely to Allah, the One Who is Al‑Wahid al‑Qahar. He illustrates the point with a vivid picture of Prophet Sulaiman’s kingdom, describing seven degrees of authority—where the highest degree surpasses any earthly throne. Even a king cannot command a dog that runs before him; worldly power is but the lowest level compared to Divine decree.
The story continues with the Angel of Death, Azrael (Alayhi Salaam), who appears in Sulaiman’s prison and confronts a frightened soul. The king, moved by compassion, asks that the soul be sent to India, revealing that even the greatest earthly authority ultimately acts within Allah’s will. From this narrative Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi calls us to surrender completely to the Creator: “Ya Rabbi, I am surrendering to You.” By placing our own desires aside and trusting the path appointed for us, we free ourselves from the illusion of worldly aura and find true paradise here and now.
