In a recent sohbet, our community was reminded that we are living in the latter days foretold by the Qur’an, the prophetic hadîth, and the counsel of the great Sufi saints. With the summer heat fully upon us and streets once again filled with travelers—some even speaking of a “corona holiday”—the talk turned to a deeper reality: while the world appears to have returned to normal, an unseen darkness gathers behind the bright sun. The admonition was clear: “Ey müminler, Allah’tan korkun ve Allah’a itaat edin,” urging every believer to guard against heedlessness (gaflet) and complacency (rehâbet).
The teaching highlighted that all of the eschatological signs have already been fulfilled one by one. What remains is a final, cataclysmic clash described in our tradition as Armageddon or Melhame‑i Kübra. When two great powers collide, no lesser nation can intervene; only the promised Mahdi (A.S.)—the hand placed upon our ears by Allah—has the authority to halt that devastation and bring true justice. Consequently, calling upon the Mahdi, praying for his swift appearance, and aligning our hearts with his guidance were presented as an urgent collective duty.
Beyond these spiritual warnings, practical counsel was offered for navigating uncertain times. In moments of inflation or looming conflict, gold and other stable assets become essential safeguards; yet the most valuable investment remains the cultivation of sincere friendship, charitable deeds, and steadfast devotion to the Hereafter. The talk also emphasized that before embarking on travel, marriage, or business ventures, seeking the advice of knowledgeable guides is both a Sunnah and a protection against rash decisions.
