On Tuesday evening, 19 December 2017, the Royal Ottoman Society celebrated a milestone moment: the grand opening of our new gathering space at Harmonie Der Herzen e.V., Dammstraße 18 in Ludwigshafen. The ceremony began promptly at 7 PM with a warm greeting of “Selamun Aleyküm” from Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi, whose presence honoured the occasion and reminded us of the timeless Sufi values that guide our community.
The evening was filled with heartfelt thanks to all who attended, expressed repeatedly by the host: “İzlediğiniz için teşekkürler.” The gathering offered an opportunity for members and friends to meet, share stories, and envision how this welcoming venue will support regular sohbet sessions, spiritual teachings, and cultural events that celebrate our Ottoman heritage. As the doors opened, we felt a collective sense of renewal—a space where the inner journey can be pursued alongside communal fellowship.
