In 2016 the Royal Ottoman Society gathered in Ludwigshafen to inaugurate its new community center, a milestone that continues to inspire our members across Europe. The occasion was honoured by Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi, whose presence underscored the spiritual purpose of the space: to offer a sanctuary where seekers can study Sufi teachings, share Ottoman heritage, and cultivate inner transformation together.
The opening ceremony brought together longtime friends, families, and newcomers, all united by a common desire to create a living hub for dhikr, contemplation, and charitable activity. As the doors opened, the atmosphere was filled with hopeful anticipation—an affirmation that a dedicated venue can nurture both personal growth and collective service. Since then, the center has become home to regular study circles, meditation sessions, and cultural gatherings, embodying the Society’s commitment to bridge tradition and contemporary life.
We warmly invite anyone moved by this vision to join our growing family. Explore membership options and stay informed about upcoming events through our Membership page and the vibrant Community hub. Together we can continue to nurture spaces where the spirit of Ottoman Sufism flourishes for generations to come.
