Bismillahir‑Rahmanir‑Rahim, Esselamün Aleyküm, dear brothers and sisters of the Royal Ottoman Society.
On 4 April 2020, with the explicit approval of Mawlana Sheikh Mehmed Efendi, Ayberk Efendi conveyed a heartfelt reminder from the Sheikh’s seat. In light of the rapidly worsening conditions that affect humanity worldwide, the guidance emphasizes both diligent preparation and sincere turning toward Allah.
In this teaching, practical preparedness is presented as the believer’s foremost weapon. Ayberk Efendi urges every listener—whether formally attached to the Society or simply seeking its counsel—to secure essential supplies while they are still accessible: sufficient food, clean water, necessary medicines, and any tools that support health and safety. The message stresses that neglecting such measures is not merely imprudent; it runs contrary to divine instruction, for Allah has commanded us to take precaution. By arranging these material safeguards now, families can face uncertain days with greater stability.
Beyond the material realm, the talk calls for an immediate renewal of one’s spiritual relationship with Allah. The present hardships are framed as a mercy—a moment in which excuses no longer excuse delay. Ayberk Efendi invites all to repent sincerely (tawbah), renew worship (ibadah), and realign intentions toward the Divine. Those who place Allah at the center will find their affairs organized by Him, while those who prioritize worldly concerns risk further disorder. The Sheikh reminds us that “the one who relies solely on destiny without taking precaution falls into great error,” encouraging believers to combine foresight with faith.
May this guidance bring safety, peace of mind, and spiritual upliftment during these challenging times. We welcome you to deepen your practice together by joining our live gatherings where the community reflects upon such teachings and supports one another in both preparation and devotion.
Esselamün Aleyküm, may Allah keep you in health and mercy.
