We are delighted to announce that a fresh chapter of service begins this year, and we invite you to share in the celebration. On Saturday, 14 September 2019, at 7 p.m., the Royal Ottoman Society’s centre in Ludwigshafen will host an evening filled with history, conversation, and the warm hospitality of Ottoman tea and coffee.
Two distinguished guests will grace the gathering. Professor Doctor Ebu Bekir Sokoğlu, whose scholarly work has illuminated many facets of our shared heritage, will lead a profound sohbet on Ottoman history. Joining him is the celebrated author Yavuz Bahadıroğlu—renowned for his historical novels, pirate‑era adventures, and beloved children’s books. Together they will revive the spirit of the empire through stories that inspire both heart and mind.
After the talk, our traditional café corner will open, offering authentic Ottoman coffee and tea. It is an opportunity to continue the dialogue in a relaxed setting, to meet fellow enthusiasts, and to experience the timeless camaraderie that has always accompanied our gatherings.
We look forward to welcoming all members, friends, and anyone drawn to the splendor of Ottoman culture. Please mark your calendar and join us for this memorable night of learning, fellowship, and celebration.
