On the evening of 12 March 2016 the Royal Ottoman Society gathered under the historic arches of the Pfalzbau Theatre in Ludwigshafen for a night dedicated to living Ottoman‑Sufi practice. Guided by Sheikh Bahauddin Efendi, participants entered into a shared space where remembrance (dhikr), poetry and music are woven together as an expression of love for the Divine. The setting of a cultural venue offered a beautiful backdrop for this timeless tradition, allowing seekers from many backgrounds to feel both rooted in heritage and present in the moment.
The gathering invited everyone to join in collective chanting, gentle recitations and quiet reflection, creating an atmosphere where individual hearts could align with the communal pulse of Sufi devotion. Such evenings nurture both inner pilgrimage and fellowship, reminding us that the path of love is always open for those who gather with sincere intention. We look forward to welcoming you at future meetings where music, poetry and heartfelt sohbet continue to nourish our shared journey.
