On the evening of 28 March 2015, Sheikh Mehmed El Adil visited our Ludwigshafen centre for a heartfelt sohbet. The gathering opened with the timeless invocation “Bismillāhir‑Rahmānir‑Raḥīm,” immediately surrounding the participants with the mercy and grace that underlie every Sufi remembrance. Though only a brief excerpt was recorded, the atmosphere was one of reverence, communal warmth, and the subtle guidance characteristic of Sheikh Mehmed’s teaching.
In these moments we felt the living continuity of the Ottoman spiritual heritage—a lineage where love for the Creator intertwines with sincere dhikr and compassionate action. The sohbet reminded us that each encounter with a master invites us to deepen our inner journey, renew our intentions (niyyah), and embody the compassion embodied by the early saints of the empire.
We are grateful for Sheikh Mehmed’s presence and for all who gathered in Ludwigshafen. To join future gatherings and experience similar teachings, please visit our live meetings page. May the blessings of this evening continue to illuminate our paths.
