Next came a vial of pure rose oil sourced from the high mountains of Fas. According to Ayberk Efendi, this oil is 100 % unadulterated—no water or additives—and was harvested under particularly demanding conditions to preserve its fragrance. The Sheikh accepted it as “kolonya,” a blessed scent for the head and heart, and participants were reminded that such aromas have long accompanied the remembrance of God in Ottoman tradition.
A third offering was an exquisitely crafted Ottoman‑style belt (kemer). Unlike any mass‑produced accessory, this piece was fashioned from scratch, its mold created especially for this occasion. The final items presented were two newly woven Ottoman flags, each bearing distinct colors that carry deep symbolism: red for the blood of martyrs, white for purity and honor, and green representing the rank of martyrdom.
