In this teaching, a revered sheikh recalls a concise hadith known as Jamia‑Saghir, transmitted through Kamal Pasha Zadeh Hazretleri, the spiritual guide of Ya‘qub Sultan Salim. The narration foretells that one “Salim” will receive the sacred trusts and that a final “Salim” will hand those trusts over to the awaited Imam Mahdī.
The first part of this prophecy was fulfilled in 1517 when Sultan Salim I entered Egypt, retrieved the holy relics—including the Prophet’s sword (Saif‑e‑Nabawi) and the Sword of Dawud—from the Abbasid Caliphate, and thereby assumed the mantle of the Caliphate. For more than four centuries the Ottoman sultans bore this spiritual leadership.
The sheikh then describes a later era often referred to as Jabba Birra, a century marked by tyranny, the abolition of the Caliphate, and widespread humiliation of Muslims who found themselves without a unifying head. This period is portrayed as a “body without a brain,” unable to function fully.
According to the same hadith, after another hundred years of darkness the Caliphate will rise again, this time under the banner of the Ottoman Empire through Sultan Salim IV, the last of the Salim line. The sacred trusts are expected to be transferred in Konya to Imam Mahdī (peace be upon him), signalling a renewal of spiritual authority.
The concluding message invites listeners to make a conscious choice: to align with the universal flag of Allah and the Prophet ﷺ, embracing a true Muʾmin’s path, or to follow narrower nationalist and ethnic divisions that the sheikh warns are “the plan of the devil.” The hope expressed is that believers will recognize this prophetic timeline and support the forthcoming spiritual resurgence.
