In this recent reflection the community hears a reminder of the prophetic tradition that links our present era to the signs of the End Times. The narration draws on a saying of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): if the ummah remains guided, its lifespan will be one day; if it strays, half a day. In the divine perspective one day equals a thousand earthly years, so the total span amounts to fifteen hundred years—one and a half days.
According to the Hijri calendar we are now in the year 1447 AH. Subtracting the elapsed fifteen hundred years suggests that roughly fifty‑three solar years remain before the Day of Judgment. Within this remaining interval, the traditions speak of the appearance of Imam Mahdi al‑Islam and the return of Prophet ʿĪsā (Jesus), who will govern for forty years. The signs described in the hadith literature are said to be unfolding around us, urging vigilance and a return to sincere guidance.
The message invites each member of our community to reflect on these timelines not as a source of fear, but as an encouragement to deepen devotion, strengthen moral conduct, and contribute positively to the collective well‑being. By aligning daily practice with the timeless principles of the Sufi path—remembrance (dhikr), compassion, and service—we prepare ourselves for whatever the future holds.
