In a recent teaching, Sheikh Bahauddin Adil reminded us of a striking prophetic detail: there are three cities that the Antichrist—Dajjal—will never be able to set foot in. According to his words, these sanctuaries are Damascus (Sham‑Sharif), the holy city of Mecca, and the blessed metropolis of Medina. The Sheikh also clarified a common misunderstanding about Al‑Quds, noting that while many associate it with Dajjal’s temporary “capital,” the divine protection actually concerns the three cities he mentioned.
The significance of this triad lies in their deep spiritual heritage. Damascus, long revered as a gateway between continents and a cradle of early Islamic scholarship, carries a baraka that resists any falsehood. Mecca and Medina, the two qiblas of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), are eternally shielded by Allah’s decree, serving as perpetual beacons of monotheistic truth. Recognizing these protected spaces invites us to reflect on how divine grace can safeguard certain realms against the most deceptive forces.
